Aquavelis Water Park (Torre del Mar)

The Axarquía has its own water park, and it’s exactly where it should be: in Torre del Mar, right by the liveliest beach in the region. Aquavelis has been the summer plan for families from Vélez-Málaga, Nerja, Torrox and the surrounding villages for decades.

• Toddler area with water games and a shallow pool.
• Large grassed areas with natural shade — a real bonus in August.

Getting there

It’s in Torre del Mar, reached directly from the A-7 (Torre del Mar exit), with on-site parking. By public transport, buses run by the Málaga Metropolitan Transport Consortium connect Torre del Mar with Málaga city, Nerja and the whole Axarquía.

The eastern-coast advantage

If you’re staying in Torre del Mar, Nerja, Torrox or Algarrobo, getting to Aqualand Torremolinos means over an hour of driving each way. Aquavelis is ten minutes away. It’s smaller, yes, but the day goes much further.

Tips

Get there early, claim a shaded spot on the grass and buy tickets online if available. High-factor sun cream and water shoes, as at any water park. With young children, the toddler area alone is enough to fill a morning.

Season

Open in summer season, roughly from June to early September. Exact dates change each year — check the official calendar before you go.

Combine it with

A day at Torre del Mar beach the following day, or a trip to the Caves of Nerja, half an hour away by car.
