The coastal path and neighbouring routes link promenades and beaches in stages. La Misericordia offers an urban Málaga start; Peñón del Cuervo and Cala del Moral show a different eastern coast. Torre del Mar offers another broad promenade in the Axarquía. Do not assume every section is continuously open.
Plan a short stage
Choose two clear access points and plan the return as well as the outward walk. The Málaga province route guide helps place stages, but check current boardwalk conditions, works and crossings before leaving.
Walking by the sea
Bring water and sun protection; shade can be scarce. Respect dunes and closures. If you plan to swim at the end, check the beach and return transport.
