Malapesquera is the busiest beach in Benalmádena Costa. It sits in the middle of the tourist centre, between Puerto Marina and the Torrequebrada area, and it concentrates beach bars, sunbeds, water sports and a density of people that in August is considerable.
Getting there
By Cercanías line C-1, Arroyo de la Miel station, then a town bus or a twenty-minute walk downhill. By car, take the A-7 exits for Benalmádena Costa; there are paid car parks and metered parking, with free spaces scarce in summer.

Water sports
This stretch of coast is one of the best in the province for activities on the water. In season you’ll find operators running jet skis, parasailing, banana boats, flyboarding and paddleboarding, based either on the sand itself or at Puerto Marina, ten minutes away.
Puerto Marina, next door
Puerto Marina in Benalmádena — once awarded the title of best marina in the world for its architecture of islands and canals — sits right beside the beach. Dolphin-watching trips, catamarans and glass-bottom boats depart from there. It’s also the town’s nightlife district.
What the beach is like
Around 700 metres of dark, coarse sand, protected by breakwaters, with a gradual entry and calm water. It’s very well equipped. Occupancy is high in July and August: if you want quiet, head for the beaches at the eastern end of the municipality.
